DESCRIPTION: Before I started painting I used a little bit of rubbery masking fluid to "hold back" some highlights that would make the jars look a bit shiny later. Then I painted a weak wash of yellow ochre watercolor over all three jars, including the brass rings that hold the lid seals on. I'm not paying any attention to the separate food items - one wash covers all.
